The
Water's Way
Multimedia performance
Date: 2003
Featuring live music by renowned improvisational guitarist Richard Leo
Johnson,
THE WATER'S WAY is an abstract video, sound, and word collage. Drawing
from
over 400 years of historic material about the Savannah River, the performance
explores how nature's ancient waterways shape and are shaped by humanity.
The river becomes a refection of time and voices, flowing to lose itself
in the ocean and return again in the rain.
High end
digital technology in the form of live video mixing and manipulation
(VDMX) is used to respond visually to live music and spoken word.
Collaborators include:
RICHARD LEO JOHNSON (live music performance)
ALAN SCHECHNER (VDMX)
ALESSANDRO IMPERATO (VDMX)
